About Canine Physio Specialists Services
Canine Physio Specialists are qualified canine rehabilitation professionals. Their services aim to support your dog’s strength, mobility, comfort and overall wellbeing using a combination of targeted therapies and tailored exercise plans.
These therapies can be particularly supportive for dogs recovering from surgery, managing arthritis or age-related stiffness, or rebuilding confidence after injury.
The services available through this partnership include hands-on physiotherapy, guided exercise work, hydrotherapy and therapeutic laser. Each service can be recommended as part of an overall treatment plan depending on your dog’s individual needs.

How to Book Appointments
The correct booking route depends on whether your dog has already been assessed or referred by a vet.
Already referred by a vet
- If your dog has already been recommended physiotherapy, hydrotherapy or laser therapy by Ivy Lodge Vets or another veterinary practice, you may be able to book directly with the Canine Physio Specialists team on 07864 761 569.
- They will take your referral and contact you with available appointment slots.
Not yet assessed by a vet
- If a vet has not yet assessed your dog for these therapies, we recommend booking a consult with one of our vets first. Simply call us on 01708 373 671 and we will answer any questions you may have.
- This review helps confirm that the chosen therapy is appropriate and safe for your dog’s condition.
- Once suitability has been confirmed, Ivy Lodge Vets can provide the necessary veterinary consent for treatment.
For the Canine Physio Specialists team to provide physiotherapy, hydrotherapy or laser therapy, veterinary consent is required. This consent can come from Ivy Lodge Veterinary Clinic or another veterinary practice.

The Mobile Hydrotherapy Van
Hydrotherapy sessions are delivered using a fully customised mobile hydrotherapy van operated by Canine Physio Specialists. The van attends Ivy Lodge Veterinary Clinic on Fridays and is positioned on site for scheduled appointments.
Dogs still attend Ivy Lodge Vets for their hydrotherapy sessions, just as they would for any other appointment. The mobile setup allows hydrotherapy to be provided locally at the clinic without the need for owners to travel to a separate rehabilitation centre.
This approach is particularly helpful for dogs that benefit from hydrotherapy but may struggle with longer journeys, while still ensuring sessions are carried out in a controlled and professional environment.
