Gerard Cashin MVB MRCVS

Gerry qualified from University College Dublin in 1979. He is an experienced equine veterinarian with over 40 years’ experience in equine practice. He has extensive knowledge of the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.

Lucy Davies BVetMed MRCVS Senior Vet

Lucy qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019. She worked in a equine hospital for year before moving on to a busy 24hr small animal hospital.
Lucy enjoys all aspects of general veterinary practice however her main passion is in surgery. She aims to complete her certificate in small animal surgery by 2024.
At home Lucy has a 19 year old cat called Cleo, who she adopted in 2021. In her spare time Lucy enjoys running, travelling with her partner and visiting her family in Wales.

Ellie Frost BVMedSci BVMBVS

Ellie graduated from University of Nottingham Vet School in 2019 with a BVMedSci degree, as well as 2021 with a BVM BVS degree.
Ellie has a keen interest in cardiology and wishes to pursue this interest in the form for a post graduate certificate whilst working at Ivy Lodge Vets.
In her spare time Ellie enjoys going to the gym , walking her dogs and riding horses.

Jess Akca RVN

Jess joined us at the beginning of 2024 and enjoys all aspects of small animal general medicine but has a particular interest in anaesthesia and emergency critical care.

Jess started as a veterinary care assistant in 2018 at a busy 24/7 small animal hospital and completed a Level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Support in 2021. Jess then qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of veterinary Surgeons in 2023!

Jess continues her animal care at home looking after her many pets!

Alex Butler SVN

Alex started with Jess as a veterinary care assistant in 2018 and qualified with a Level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Support by 2023!

She joined the team at Ivy Lodge in 2023 and is currently undertaking her veterinary nurse training to be qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary College in a few years time!

At home she has 3 cocker spaniels and a shire horse called Willow.

Julie Romano Receptionist

Julie joined Ivy Lodge Vets in June 2021. She is the friendly face the clients and patients see on arrival to the clinic. In her spare time, she enjoys walking and going out with her friends and family.
